Description

Fox Rothschild LLP is seeking a Litigation paralegal with prior trial experience and a minimum of five (5) years of paralegal experience.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Compiling, preparing, and summarizing relevant materials for use by attorneys in discovery;

  • Indexing, tracking, and controlling case related materials;

  • Working knowledge of the Oklahoma Rules of Civil Procedure and court filing procedures and processes;

  • Reviewing documents for relevance and inclusion in case file;

  • Assist with the preparation of court filings, including cite and fact checking legal briefs, cross-reference checks, confirming proper Bluebook citation, proofreading, and assembling of exhibits and appendices;

  • Reviewing documents for relevance and privilege according to established guidelines and criteria;

  • Tracking and controlling document discovery (including documents produced and received in discovery);

  • Indexing, tracking, and controlling exhibits and other materials at depositions and at trial;

  • Coordinating trial set-up and logistics as well as serving as liaison among various internal departments as well as with outside vendors, such as translation services, document production vendors and trial graphics providers;

  • Summarizing depositions and other transcripts;

  • Working closely and directly with attorneys and clients during all phases of litigation; and

  • Additional responsibilities include supporting attorneys during trial, including assistance with creation of demonstratives and courtroom presentation/support.

  • Prepare and understand financial accounts as well as other financial and statistical reports.

  • Compose and disseminate correspondence as required.

  • Ability to understand tax forms, including but not limited to federal tax returns and schedules.

Qualifications

  • BA or BS degree preferred.

  • Associate's degree or paralegal certificate with five years of comparable work experience required.

  • Ability to multitask using analytical and problem-solving skills within a fast-paced environment with competing demands.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrate flexibility regarding client and legal team requests.

  • Achieve high level of productivity.

  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
