Fox Rothschild LLP Litigation Paralegal in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania

Description

Fox Rothschild LLP is seeking a Litigation Paralegal with a minimum eight (8) years of experience for the New York Office.

P rimary Responsibilities

  • Compiling, preparing, and summarizing relevant materials for use by attorneys in discovery;

  • Indexing, tracking, and controlling case related materials;

  • Processing settlements for complex litigation matters;

  • Reviewing documents for relevance and inclusion in case file;

  • Summarizing depositions and other transcripts;

  • State and Federal Court filings including NYSCEF and various administrative agencies;

  • Tracking and controlling document discovery (including documents produced and received in discovery);

  • Indexing, tracking, and controlling exhibits and other materials at depositions and at trial;

  • Reviewing documents for relevance and privilege according to established guidelines and criteria; and

  • Working closely and directly with attorneys and clients during all phases of litigation.

Additional responsibilities include supporting attorneys during trial, including assistance with creation of demonstratives and courtroom presentation/support.

Skills & Abilities

  • Advanced working knowledge of Relativity, Excel, Case Notebook and related case management software is required.

  • Working knowledge of New York Rules of Civil Procedure For Courts of Record in New York.

  • Experience working directly with attorneys and clients during all phases of litigation.

Qualifications

  • BA or BS degree preferred.

  • Associate's degree or paralegal certificate with eight years of comparable work experience required.

  • Ability to work well with clients and experts required.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Strong organizational and written communication skills.

  • Demonstrate high level of professionalism.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment including, but not limited to computers, telephones, printers, and copiers.
